Darsa Organics Brown Basmati Rice offers a healthy and delicious to white rice. This aromatic long-grain rice features a delicate nutty flavor and cooks up fluffy and separate. Enjoy it as a base for curries, stir-fries, or a simple side dish.



    1. Rinse the rice in a fine-mesh strainer under cold running water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch for a fluffy texture.
    2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, water, and salt (if using). Bring to a boil over high heat. 
    3. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover the pot tightly with a lid, and simmer for 40-45 minutes, or until the rice is tender and all the water is absorbed.
    4. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork. This allows the rice to steam and finish cooking.


    1.  For an even richer flavor, toast the rinsed rice in a tablespoon of ghee or butter over medium heat for a few minutes before adding the water.
    2.  Want to add some extra veggies? Include chopped carrots, peas, or diced bell peppers with the rice when you add the water.
    3.  Leftover rice can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a covered saucepan or microwave until warmed thorough.
