Mix Dal Khichdi
Ingredients
- ¾ cup – Darsa Organics White Rice
- ½ cup – Darsa Organics Mixed Dal
- 2 tbsp – Oil + ghee
- ½ tsp – Darsa Organics Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 2 Tomatoes finely chopped
- 3 Green chilli chopped
- 2 tbsp – Finely chopped coriander leaves finely chopped
- ¼ tsp – Darsa Organics Turmeric powder
- ½ tsp – Darsa Organics Chilli powder
- 2 tsp – Darsa Organics Coriander powder
- Salt as per taste
Recipes
- Heat oil & ghee in a pressure cooker, followed by adding jeera and let it splutter
- Add onions and fry until translucent
- Add tomatoes & green chillies and fry till the oil separates
- Add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt, and mix it well and fry till the raw smell leaves
- Drain the soaked rice, dal & coriander leaves and stir fry for 2 mins till it gets completely coated with the masalas
- Add 4-5 cups of water and cook upto 3-4 whistles of the pressure cooker
- Once done, turn off the flame and wait for the pressure to come down on its own
- Your delicious Mix Dal Khichdi is now ready to be served
