Mix Dal Khichdi



  • Heat oil & ghee in a pressure cooker, followed by adding jeera and let it splutter
  • Add onions and fry until translucent
  • Add tomatoes & green chillies and fry till the oil separates
  • Add turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt, and mix it well and fry till the raw smell leaves
  • Drain the soaked rice, dal & coriander leaves and stir fry for 2 mins till it gets completely coated with the masalas
  • Add 4-5 cups of water and cook upto 3-4 whistles of the pressure cooker
  • Once done, turn off the flame and wait for the pressure to come down on its own
  • Your delicious Mix Dal Khichdi is now ready to be served
